Minimalism and elegance, from offline stores to online platform
Design Approach
I was initially invited to address UI and UX challenges on the old website. Later, I proposed a complete website revamp to create a more immersive and interactive experience.
One of the client's prerequisites was to create an experience closely mirroring their physical catalogues. They wanted a homogenous experience, featuring high-resolution images to enhance customers' perceptions of all featured products and new collections, with the added capability of expanding digitally through an online store.
ABOUT THE PROJECT
A Great Team Project with Exquisite Taste and a Vision for Success
This brand originally launched in 1997 as "Habitat" and was rebranded as "Areastore" in 2005. With years of experience in Portugal, it has collaborated with numerous designers and sold to hundreds of thousands of customers internationally.
The website revamp/redesign involved a strategic plan developed over three and a half months, initiating an ongoing project that continued for the next six years.
Apart from designing the desktop and mobile experiences, I was also responsible for planning and managing the client relationship.
Additionally, I handled image treatment and enhancement to ensure the best online experience.

This initiative has been highly effective in increasing online sales, particularly during the pandemic.
